Celebs Who Totally Transformed Over The Years

Barbara Walters – Age 91

Barbara Walters may be enjoying her retirement now, but people have hardly forgotten about her. Not surprising since she’s been working as a journalist since the ‘50s, with shows like Today, 20/20, The View, and ABC Evening News. Her hard work earned her a fortune worth $170 million.

Walters has stayed true to herself over the years. And now that she’s in her 90s, she’s also embraced aging. The last time we saw her was on the Trump A.C./D.C. short documentary in 2020. We might have to wait to watch her on the small screen again because she currently has no projects lined up.

Bob Barker – Age 97

Many of you got used to seeing Bob Barker as an “old” man, but there was also a time wherein he appeared on TV looking youthful. He started hosting a show called Truth or Consequences, but his most tremendous success was becoming the host of The Price Is Right in the ’70s.

Barker has been enjoying his retirement for more than a decade now, but he still makes occasional TV appearances. His most recent one was on an episode of Lorena in 2019.

Bob Newhart – Age 92

Last seen in the 2021 documentary “Rickles+Newhart: A Hollywood Love Story,” Bob Newhart is a legendary American comedian who’s perhaps best known for his work in “The Bob Newhart Show.” One of the first deadpan comedians of the United States, he became famous by working as a stand-up performer in the early ’60s, when he released his iconic comedy album “The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart.”

While he’s still active, he’s been less busy in recent years. As an actor, he was last seen in the sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon.” A father of four, he’s the uncle of the “Saturday Night Live” actor Paul Brittain.

Leslie Phillips – Age 97

Not many people from the younger generations would know who Leslie Phillips is but for the older generations; he’s an idolized actor. His career beginnings date back to the ’30s, which explains his current age of 97. The youngsters might know his voice, though. He voiced the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter films.

Phillips’ catchphrases in the ’50s, “Ding Dong” and “He-llo” were quick to put him under the spotlight. His career has slowed down significantly, which is understandable considering his age. In fact, he’s changed so much with time that even his fans would hardly recognize him if they saw him on the screens now.

Dick Van Dyke – Age 95

Even at 95 years old, Dick Van Dyke is still active in the career he started in 1947. He was even in the 2018 Mary Poppins film! What’s more impressive is that he has become an Emmy, BAFTA, Grammy, Tony, and Disney Legend award winner throughout his tenure.

For more of Van Dyke’s colorful life and profession, fans can also turn to the book he wrote titled Keep Moving: And Other Tips and Truths About Living Well Longer. In May 2021, his legacy was celebrated at the 43rd Kennedy Center Honors alongside other entertainers like Joan Baez and Garth Brooks.
