Mic-Drop Resignation and Other Unforgettable Moments in TV History That Will Make Your Day

Hold on Baby, Mummy’s Busy

Who would have thought there would come a time when television presenters, weather reporters, and the like would be giving their daily reports from the comfort of their homes? Life sure laughed in our faces in 2020, didn’t it? And people like Leslie Lopez of KABC had to roll with the punches.

In this case, rolling with the punches meant juggling her mom responsibilities with the job. So when baby Nolan came crawling in during her forecast, Lopez had to pick him up before carrying on. Thankfully, the viewers were more than happy with the interruption—who wouldn’t love the chance to see a cute baby?

Weather Appropriate

It must have been a hot day for Nalié López to consider coming into the studio in that outfit. A pair of brown shorts and a tank top are clothes we commonly see on a woman at the beach or someone strolling through the city and window shopping.

Another explanation would be that she was called in on an emergency, so López didn’t have enough time for an outfit change. Still, the events of this day may have contributed some significant progress to her modeling career. Because if there’s one thing many viewers could agree on, it’s that she could be a muse.

 Forecast Gone Wrong

Romanian meteorologist Roxana Vancea is a professional in every way that counts. But no one is exempt from wardrobe malfunctions or embarrassing moments, so she had to chalk this up to a working hazard. And thankfully, she was quick to re-adjust her clothing soon after.

Vancea came on air to perform business as usual that day, but things went downhill when she decided to get a bit active, breaking out into a jog with some jumping jacks thrown in. The material of her blouse clearly couldn’t handle all of that pressure, and so the viewers got a brief glimpse of a bit more skin than they were used to.

 Getting an Eyeful

Many insist that reporters and television personalities ought to have a rule book dictating the appropriate outfit for appearing on screen. However, we understand how such strict rules may fully infringe on these professionals’ rights to self-expression.

But even without such rules, it should go without saying that certain clothing isn’t fit for this job. Unfortunately, Jacqueline Bennet didn’t look too closely at the top she pulled out of her closet that morning. Only for her to show up at the studio to give her usual forecast and then realize mid-way that her blouse was see-through. She didn’t let the situation affect her presentation, though.

Here’s a Cover Up

In this case, we’re almost moved to make a case for Liberte Chan. She’s enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a meteorologist on KLTA’s Weekend show and did her best to perform her role to perfection. So it was a bit confusing when this dress sent so many viewers into an uproar.

For one, there isn’t anything particularly revealing about this outfit. And it clearly didn’t affect Chan’s ability to get the job done. But many viewers thought differently as tons of emails came pouring in, complaining that they found it distracting. In the end, Chan was handed a sweater to cover up.
